Peterson Paul
Peterson Paul started to be active on issues of citizen participation in development since 2007 and started to work in international development cooperation since 2012. Since January 2023, he has joined Helvetas in Bern as a Governance and Civic Space Advisor. He holds a MA in Sociology from Cheikh Anta Diop University in Dakar and a MSc in Public Policy and Management from SOAS University of London. Peterson has extensive experience in the Sahel, West and Central Africa in the areas of Governance, Citizen Participation, Child Protection, Community and Civic Engagement in the Humanitarian, Development and Peacebuilding nexus through technical, coordination, management and strategic program development positions he has held over the years. In addition to being a good communicator, Peterson is a critical thinker with a can-do attitude and a solution-oriented approach that facilitates positive collaboration with internal and external clients.
